The crisp sound of the guitar's steel strings with the warm nylon stringed guitar against a peaceful backdrop of synths create a beautiful blend. The emotional tone is nostalgic and reminiscent of a simpler, easier time in life. The cover art is a photo of a foggy day on Jordan Pond at Acadia National Park, which was an annual family pilgrimage.
Journey by Starlight is a cinematic, inward-traveling album that oscillates between acoustic intimacy and expansive ambient space, where the music unfolds like a night voyage guided by subtle light rather than certainty. Native American flute, guitars, piano, singing bowls, koshi chimes, synths, vox, and evolving textures weave together to create landscapes that feel at once terrestrial and otherworldly—deserts, rivers, astral crossings, and star-lit thresholds. Themes of longing, reflection, and gentle propulsion recur throughout, allowing each piece to stand alone while contributing to a larger, cohesive arc. 1. The Road Winds with You
Instruments: Singing bowls, electric guitar, synth pads, mellotron, Koshi chimes Overall Mood: Moody, understated, mellow A quiet opening that feels like motion without urgency. Singing bowls and mellotron create a soft horizon while electric guitar drifts gently through the landscape. Koshi chimes flicker like passing lights, evoking the feeling of traveling alongside an unseen companion, guided more by intuition than destination.
- Angelic Realms
Instruments: Acoustic guitar, synth arpeggios, bass, keyboards, virtual horns Overall Mood: Expansive, gentle, swirling This piece opens into spaciousness. Flowing arpeggios and warm acoustic guitar spiral upward as virtual horns add a subtle celestial presence. The music feels buoyant and protective, like entering a benevolent realm where movement is effortless and time softens.
- Astral Bridges
Instruments: Native American flute, Koshi chimes, ambient beds, vocals Overall Mood: Evolving, mysterious A threshold track that connects worlds. The Native American flute speaks in breath and shadow, floating above slowly shifting ambient textures. Wordless vocals by the artist against melodic chimes suggest unseen pathways—bridges formed of resonance rather than matter.
- Bending Light
Instruments: Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, synths, drum kits, beats Overall Mood: Relaxed, laid back, gently propulsive Beginning in calm repose, this track gradually gathers momentum. Guitars and soft beats create a sense of forward motion without pressure, as arpeggios unfold like light refracted through glass—suggesting transformation through ease rather than force.
- Partial Freeze
Instruments: Electric guitar, cascading ambient beds, deep pads Overall Mood: Suspended, introspective, spacious Time seems to slow here. Electric guitar echoes across wide ambient layers while deep pads hold the listener in a moment of stillness. The track captures that suspended state between movement and rest, where clarity quietly forms.
- Desert Glass
Instruments: Synths, keyboards, virtual choirs Overall Mood: Ominous, then redemptive An initially stark and foreboding atmosphere gives way to warmth and release. The glassy textures and choral layers suggest resilience—beauty emerging from harsh terrain, light reframing shadow into something luminous and healing.
- Strange Velocity
Instruments: Piano, acoustic guitar, ambient pads, keyboards Overall Mood: Mellow, adventurous Gentle yet exploratory, this piece balances comfort with curiosity. Piano and guitar lead the way while ambient layers hint at movement through unfamiliar space—an invitation to wander without fear, guided by subtle momentum.
- Starfield (Remastered)
Instruments: Native American flute, synth pads Overall Mood: Lonely, hauntingly beautiful This remastered version deepens the emotional resonance of the original. The flute explores tonal color and breath with vulnerability, surrounded by vast synth pads. A meditation on loss, distance, and quiet remembrance, shimmering with tenderness.
- River in Heaven
Instruments: Piano, mallets, keyboards, synth pads, ambient elements Overall Mood: Melancholic, slow, gentle, yearning A deeply emotional flow unfolds here. Piano lines drift like water through memory while mallets and pads add depth and reverence. The piece carries a sense of longing and wonder—grief intertwined with awe.
- Antares
Instruments: Synths, keyboards, virtual choir Overall Mood: Organic, focused, slowly evolving, trippy Named after the red supergiant star, this track pulses with contained power. Subtle harmonic shifts and choral textures create a hypnotic field, drawing the listener inward as the music unfolds with patient intensity.
- The Last Year
Instruments: Synths, virtual strings, organ, percussion, beats Overall Mood: Exciting, driving A surge of energy and reflection. Rhythmic propulsion and layered instrumentation evoke movement, resolution, and momentum. This track feels like integration—looking back while being carried decisively forward.
- Across the Veil
Instruments: Piano, lush keyboards, tablas Overall Mood: Open, expansive, sonically rich Eventually grounded by rhythmic tablas, this piece opens as piano and keyboards stretch outward. The result is a sense of crossing—between worlds, states of awareness, or chapters—supported by warmth and spacious resonance.
- The Letter Left Unopened
Instruments: Acoustic guitar, keyboards, synths, virtual voices Overall Mood: Expansive, exploratory The album closes with contemplation rather than resolution. Gentle guitar and airy voices suggest unspoken truths and unrealized possibilities. The music leaves space for reflection, honoring what remains unknown or unread.

River in Heaven unfolds like a celestial elegy, a slow-moving current of sound suspended between grief and grace, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and infinite. The cover art features exquisite astrophotography. I wrote this piece predominately around a gentle, flowing chord progression on the keyboard, alongside melodic phrases that seem to ascend softly to the stars. There is a quiet yearning at the heart of this piece, melancholic, with a kind of sacred beauty. River in Heaven flows with grace and wonder.
The Road Winds with You is a moody, understated sound journey that captures the feeling of motion without urgency—of traveling not toward a destination, but alongside presence itself. The title came to me as a message to myself that when we trust the path we're on, we find that it will indeed wind with us! Singing bowls and mellotron lay down a soft, expansive horizon while synth pads breathe quietly beneath the surface. A gently drifting electric guitar moves through the soundscape like a companion in silence, and Koshi chimes flicker in and out like passing lights on an open road. The cover art features gorgeous astrophotography, echoing this sense of quiet movement through vast space: stars stretching across the night sky, reminding us that even in stillness, we are always in motion, journeying together through something much larger than ourselves.
Starfield (Remastered) is a quiet passage through vast inner and outer space. A solitary Native American flute moves with exposed breath and fragile tonal color, drifting through expansive synth pads that feel as endless as the night sky. The remaster deepens the emotional gravity of the original, allowing each pause, swell, and resonance to linger longer in the field. Lonely yet tender, the flute is hauntingly beautiful, like starlight reaching us long after its source has gone. A dense starfield scattered across a dark, velvety cosmos, is captured in the astrophotography that is the cover art. Just as the light in the image has traveled across unimaginable distances, the music reflects memory and emotion moving across time—faint, shimmering, and profoundly human against the vastness.
